Southern Hills  Riding Academy  specializes in the disciplines of Olympics: Dressage, Stadium Jumping, and Cross-Country Jumping. Day or evening lessons are available for the competitive rider or pleasure rider in a private or group setting. We currently teach students from 5 years old to adults. School horses with 5 to 10 years experience are available.

PRICING:   Private (1/2 hour) - $40
                    Group (1 hour) - $30

The majority of our group lessons are FULL.  We do have two new YOUNG beginner classes with openings on Monday and Friday at 4:00 PM. (We do limit beginner classes to a maximum of 4 students.) We have a new beginner class at 6:00 PM on Wednesday for older students.

There are two lady beginner classes available with openings: Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM and Saturday morning at 7:30 AM.

You may also lease a SHRA school horse.  The monthly lease fee is $460 per month.  This lease includes 3 group lessons per week.  Please contact us to see which horses are currently available for lease.

Payment is due at the first lesson of each month.  Monthly lessons are considered tuition and payment is expected in advance for the entire month.  You may make up one missed lesson per month and refunds are not given for any additional missed lessons. There are typically not any excused lessons for bad weather, because we have an indoor facility. A 30 day notice is expected to discontinue lessons.

For all you beginners looking at these photos - don't panic!  These riders had to learn to walk, trot, and canter before they were allowed to start jumping!  Look closely at the photo to the right - there are adult riders at our facility!

When SHRA students are getting ready to go to shows, we start going on "Field Trips".  This was a trip to Woodland near Edmond.  The six students spent a Sunday afternoon riding through a 60 acre cross-country course!
